The Apothecary is a follower card only available to those who encounter "the Apothecary", a random event that happens upon entering a settlement in the morning with only one Health remaining. Of the three options available ("Make me stronger", "Just patch me up, Doc", and "Join my quest for the throne"), the Apothecary follower card is only acquired when the "Join my quest for the throne" option is chosen.
Of the other two options for not recruiting the Apothecary, "Make me stronger" provides the Hero with +1 Body while "Just patch me up, Doc" fully restores the Hero's Health.
Trivia[]
- When a hero has encountered the Apothecary's random event, it is marked in the Queue as "The Apothecary has come to the aid of Hero!" no matter which option is chosen.
